A Big Storm Brewing
The newspaper claims we're looking at the largest storm to hit our area in two years. It's supposed to hit today and last through the weekend. The article suggested flashlights and frozen 1 liter bottles to keep food fresh when the power goes out. You know what my first thought was?
OMG, I should blog this morning, just in case! Preparedness. I'm all about it.
The kids are home from school this week, and both my husband and I are back to work, meaning the kids are pretty much running the asylum. As I type my girls are involved in some sort of play-screaming death match on my bed, and my son is loading up The Simpsons Movie for another viewing.
In other news, I'm still waiting for my "Parent of the Year" award to arrive.
Will the Circus Children survive four days of rain with a working-from-home mother and no school to break up the monotony? Will I hear the phrase "bountiful penis" 7000 times? Will we all end up in a real asylum?
Stay tuned. It's going to be wild.

I too am a Mother of three (Ages 10, 8 and 6). This the second blog I found in 2 days created by a Mom of 3. I look forward to your posts.

I Can't WAIT to see what hits you get from the term bountiful penis.
That's classy.

Wait. This means I won't be able to annoy you incessantly about work things? That's not going to work for me.

I so hear you. Our power just came back on after being off for 5.5 hrs. I am so happy to have it back--there's only just so much Old Maid I can handle.

I love me some Simpsons!
My kids are playing video games which apparently involve automatic weapons, so I'm right with you on the parent of the year thing. Hope the storm misses you!

I like your philosophy -- blogging as part of storm preparations. If I sense a blizzard on the way, I'll be sure to blog first. :)

I live-blogged the worst of the storm grouping as it came to my area here. It was a crash course in meteorology I won't soon forget.
According to the weather map, the storm train is still chugging all the way up from the base of Texas, all the way into Iowa. Only time will tell if anything else develops tornadic signatures. So far it looks like some pretty tame storms
I hope you and yours made it through just fine. *smile*
You have been tagged for the month meme!
