Walking 2 Miles While Its 96 Freakin' Degrees...
But I've got nothing to complain about.
The Katrina situation is horrific. I had nightmares last night from the coverage I've been reading, and I have tremendous sadness for the people who are suffering due to this catastrophy. I've put up a banner that links to the Red Cross. ----->
This week continues to kick my butt. We FINALLY got our summer weather and it's been over 90 degrees each day. While the kids are holding up well with all the walking, this heat wears me out. You would think that this heat would just melt off the extra pounds I have to lose. Uh, no. No, I just sweat more. It's rude, I tell you.
I want to engage in sloth, but I've got things to do, places to go, people who want playdates. Boo-freakin-hoo, I know.
I treated the kids to popsicles from the vendors at the park today, and we walked home with multicolored goatees, leaving technicolor drips along the way. The kids stripped down to their undies and are laying on the cool floor, watching some television while they cool down. Up next? The wading pool.

My kids are in the yard right now eating ice pops. It's only about 80 tho, but they say it's "Hoooo-ooooo-oooot!" Whiners. Like we didn't just live in Texas 3 months ago. At least it finally stopped raining!

Man, it was like 96 here today.. and I drove my lazy self to get my girls instead of walking. So much for the conservation of gasoline. Theres no A/C outside ppl :P

Ick that doesn't sound like fun. My kids start school Thurs.....and the weather is just right for this time of year.

honey when it's that hot you need to sit in a cool dark room and be OK with the stuff not getting done. there's a reason they call it the lazy days of summer.
