The idea is to recognize the bloggers that inspired you to create your own blog. My list:

Carmen, a real-life friend and inspiration, who tells a great story. I read her blog for months before I got the courage to create a blogger account.

Alana, another real-life friend, who writes with great passion and conviction about her life, and her religion. We couldn't be more different (I'm as deep as a teaspoon, while Alana takes on weighty topics) but reading her blog always intrigues me, and her readers engage in hearty debate and lengthy discussion.

Finally, Dervala. What can I say about this woman? I don't know her, but her writing has a purity and spare beauty that leaves me slack-jawed with envy and admiration. I frequently find myself browsing her archives, deeply moved by her perceptions and clever phrasing. Although we are nearly the same age, it seems that she has lived several rich lifetimes.

Thank you, Fairy Blog Mothers. You continue to inspire me! Although let's face it, all that inspiration results in stories about nose picking and potty humor, but still... Thank you!)
