More things to try
I believe in the power of positive thinking. Now, if I could just master the positive acting...
But one of the recent tools I have been using is my iPod, and my downloaded copy of a Health Journey's guided imagery program for weight loss. Judging from the scale, a few listens aren't enough to fix anything, but the program has made my thinking a lot more positive.
Kaiser Permanente (my health plan) offers free downloads for its members!
I'm not sure if non-members can access the files. However, you can purchase these audio programs at this website if you cannot access the files at KP.
Here's my plan. I'm going to wake up and do yoga. Every day. First thing in the morning, before anything else, no matter who needs what. My day starts with 15 minutes of yoga, period.
I'm going to take half an hour of quiet time (even if it means sitting on the couch and pretending to watch The Wonder Pets) and listen to these positive affirmations.
I checked out the offerings at Leslie Sansone's site today, and she has an online program with streaming video to get you up and off your chair for inside walking, stretching and more, instantly available. I have been enjoying the one DVD I've been doing - I think I'll sign up and see what kind of tools are offered in addition to the on demand videos.
And more water. More water, more water, more water.
Comments
"More water, more water, more water." Sounds like a mantra that'd work on one of those imagery programs.
