Hoping for Flowers
With Valentine's Day arriving tomorrow, I'm almost relieved that my husband is out of town. Not because he's not the love of my life... but because every year, he presents me with a giant box of chocolates. And every year, I eat the whole thing, almost before the "thank you" has faded from my lips.
My self-control is still faulty right now. One sweet is enough to set me off on a bender, even if it isn't a particularly good sweet.
I'm hoping for flowers. Or a card. A card would be perfect.
I feel like I should turn in my membership to womanhood card. Sigh.

Hey, Jenny! Have you seen the latest edition of O magazine? Big article on weight-loss blogs.

This is the first year that I am not throwing a fit because my husband has ignored valentines day. I usually phone him at work and tell him he better show up with choclates when he comes home.

Good for you Jenny! I always get a dozen red roses (from which he takes two out and gives one to each of our daughters). Only once did I get any kind of sweets... it was a coffee mug (with hearts all over it) that had some kind of sweets in it. One of the kids he was working with was selling them for a fundraiser (he also got one for our daughter...only had one at the time).
So!! Keep that membership card! And,
Have a Wonderful Valentine's Day!
(We have a snow day here! Hopefully, your day is warm and sunny.)
