Hot. And Not In A Sexy Way.
It is 99 degrees outside, a balmy 86 degrees inside, and I'm feeling hot. I've got sweaty buns, people, and that just isn't right.
The good thing is that it's really too hot to cook. The bad thing is that all the food in my house requires cooking. I'm not amused by this. Who bought all this stuff that needs to be, like, cooked? Who?
Oh, um. Hi!
This morning, I blasted my way through a couple sets of squats and deadlifts, calf raises and crunches, and I was feeling the powah (aaargh!) and then it got hot and I ate ice cream for lunch.
The weekly menu will be posted this evening, once I get back from a dip in the neighborhood pool.

Even in Canada - it is roasting. Roasting!!!
I did a series of Yoga last night and by the end of the session, I was BATHED in sweat.

86F? Do you have your thermostat set to 86F? If so, you have shamed me. I thought I was a badass energy star for setting mine to 78F.
Ice cream = love. Do not diss the ice cream.
Did you get my note? Thank you!!!!

86--is that because you have no AC, or are not using it, or are an iron woman who doesn't set the AC any lower than that??
I ask because it is hot as a mother where I am, and IF MY AC WORKED RIGHT NOW, I'd have that b*tch set at 75, easy. Maybe even 72. Instead, we have just found out that our heat pump, source of all air-conditioning goodness, is dead and must be replaced. So we will therefore be roasting for an indefinite period of time until we can replace it.
That's just wonderful news when we live in Richmond, VA, with 75% humidity, temps around 100 today and 90's the rest of the week. Does withstanding heat & humidity like that burn off the pounds, do you think? Because if so, I will be a supermodel in no time.
