Cue the Holiday (online) Shopping
This is a sponsored post from BlogHer and P&G.
Back in August, I was touting the wonders of the Cascade Complete Dishwasher Pods as part of a BlogHer program with P&G's eStore, as you may recall. Online shopping is my jam, for sure, and having essentials shipped to my doorstep, especially HEAVY essentials is one of my favorite time-saving methods. Listen to me, talking about essentials. My UPS man can tell you about all the Sephora boxes that filled with things that clearly ARE TOO ESSENTIAL. He also loves delivering the cast iron pans I like to order online. And the cases of juice boxes. Anyhoo.
I do most of my holiday shopping online every single year, and over the last couple of years, that includes virtually all my stocking stuffers as well. Fun little toys, jewelry and books from retailers like Chinaberry are always appreciated, but perennial favorites like magazines, toothbrushes and all the other personal care goodies (like bodywash, perfumes, barrettes, lotions, etc) are usually something I end up at the drugstore or supermarket for... and I'm always looking for great deals online for this stuff.
I usually toss some novelty toothbrushes at the kids, but they're all older now, and don't necessarily want to stick a princess in their mouth. Our dentist recommended upgrading them to a powered toothbrush this year, and I've been eyeballing different toothbrush options for a while. One of the brushes our dentist recommended is the Oral-B ProfessionalCare 1000.
I haven't used this toothbrush (yet) but I like that it is designed to function like the tools that dentists use (where the brush head sort of cups each tooth and really polishes it.) My youngest, in particular, has a spectacular overbite, and has trouble brushing well enough to remove all the plaque using a traditional brush, so this type of brush-head seems like it would make her slow down and give attention to each tooth. I really like that idea.
Of course, powered toothbrushes can be pricey - but I'm hearing really great benefits, and with more adult teeth than not in these heads, I think this is a stocking-stuffer idea that I can get behind this year. And this is the best part of online shopping for this stuff. You can comparison shop yourself silly to find the best deals all year long, and during the holidays, most retailers have different options and bonuses available. While P&G has great deals at the eStore, you can also find great deals on this product at other retailers like Amazon or Target - and if you are like me, and have Amazon Prime (and a strong UPS man) you may be more interested in purchasing through a familiar store. In fact, here's a whole list of retailers where you can check out the deals on this toothbrush.
Click on over, check it out. Also, do let me know what your family loves to receive as Stocking Stuffers. I'm always on the hunt for new surprises!
